Anjuman Saxena

Anjuman started singing at the age of 3 when she performed in front of a 2000 strong audience. As a child artiste, she sang on Doordarshan and DD Bharti under the guidance of Shri Chhote Lal. She also sang regularly at school and college functions, and won competition organized by Rajdhani Rangmanch, New Delhi, judged by Shyamji Ghanshyamji. She started her training at Shri Ram Bhartiya Kala Kendra and is presently learning from Guru Pandit Mani Prasad ji of Kirana Gharana. 

Anjuman’s first love is Hindi retro music and her specialization is Geeta Dutt. She also sings Ashaji’s and Lataji’s golden melodies and is proficient in ghazal gayaki. She regularly does corporate and private shows.

Anjuman has also anchored programmes of classical music for Doordarshan-National Channel and live concerts for Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Zila Khan, Roop Kumar Rathod and Sonali Rathod. She has also done radio plays with Harish Bhimani. An album was released in Kolkata (1997) which consisted of her three Bengali songs. She has rendered two songs (solo) in albums released by Times Music and sung a duet with Zila Khan in Zila the Girl Child.
