I had the chance to attend for the first time along with two important personalities Mr Amar Verma Proprietor Star Publications who have published all the books of Sahir Ludhianvi and were the first to give him a royalty of Rs 65 on his book ! Second was Mr. Rajesh Badal, Director Rajya Sabha TV, who apart from making a film on Sahir has made 100+ films on poets and writers. Over all, it was a good effort and a good show with a new concept of informal theatre setting of a drawing room! Ms Sangeeta Bedi was par excellence from beginning till end as she is very attractive most presentable and excellent in narration and her singing talent added to the charm of her superb show! Obaidsaheb was very good as a presenter and in reciting the poetry in excellent Urdu. The star singer was Supriya Joshi who has developed a great fan-ship in city was surprisingly most under-utilized. All the male voices were tried and good. It was an excellent programme. Heartiest congratulations/thanks for delighting us with a very well researched programme with a soulful presentation. Sahir-Kahaan Ho Tum is possibly one of the best projects staged by Ibaadat since its inception. The performance of each of the participants, anchors and singers was great. Naveen’s voice was so apt for the opening sequence drawn out of `Pyaasa' and it was so beautifully presented and Naveen looked so strikingly similar to Guru Dutt in the frame. The sets, this time, were different from the ones seen in the past. The posters of various movies, songs whereof were penned by Sahir, on top, really set up the mood. You mentioned that it took you very long to identify and collect information on Sahir's life. Let me tell you that your effort was so evident in everything we, the audience, watched on this day. One small request. So far, Ibaadat has presented the work of lyricists only, possibly with the belief that lyrics are the backbone of any composition. While this is so true, the role of musicians including the Music Directors and the Singers cannot be undermined. In today's context, it is so often seen that many a times, rare good lyrics get lost under loud music and bad voices. On this note, Ibaadat may consider presenting other constituents of music compositions in future, besides lyricists. Superficially viewed, any show on Sahir should be easy to produce because of the great repertoire of poetry that Sahir produced. This was really an outstanding production, the best so far of yours I have seen. The perfect dialogues of comperes, good singers and very impressive black and white photos have already won you the match. Simple, sombre stage ambience without much decoration and with predominance of black and white colours all over may be a better justification for merging with the personality of Sahir. So overwhelmed by the experience, that I am writing to you as soon as I sat in the car, just after the show got over. What impressed me is the research and the scripting. As in all Ibaadat shows, this is what makes you stand apart. My personal preference is to have a meaty script, though I know there are many people who just want to listen to songs. To balance the script and all the information on Sahir, with the huge repertoire of songs must have been a Herculean task. The fact that the audience was riveted to their seats clearly indicates, that you had achieved an admirable balance. To keep an audience riveted to their seats for 3 hours, says it all—and that too a Delhi audience notorious for its 8oclock itch!! A script of meticulously researched substance, excellent singers, and compering and Sahir’s heart wrenchingly beautiful shaayiri. Attended only one Ibaadat program before this, a while ago. The baithak style with staccato songs that time left me cold. Wrote as much in mail. I was wrong. This time, I was engrossed. The painstaking work leading up to it showed the depth and commitment, research extensive. Sahir, for me, remains undisputed, undefeated heavyweight champion of Hindi film lyrics. Not once has he dropped his high standards that are benchmark for others to emulate; many are the times he has cast pearls that few could equal, none surpass. As to commentators, the talaffuz, that nuanced utterance that is bedrock of Urdu, was of a high caliber. The artists, all, rendered with their hearts than throats. Stupendous effort. Bravo! For me and my wife Rashmi, it was the 1st occasion to watch live a program by Ibaadat Foundation, i.e. on 30 July at Kamani Auditorium, sitting through the program titled ‘Sahir-Kahaan Ho Tum’. It was extremely gracious of you to have blocked two seats for us in the center of the second row.  I do not recall having sat through a musical program spell bound for over 2.5 hours uninterrupted. The way yourself and Sangeeta Bedi took the audience through the life stage of Sahir Ludhianvi and his time less lyrics was just memorable. (I must say I was deeply impressed by Sangeeta also.) Both myself and Rashmi have fond liking for Indian film music, but getting through your program has made us quite passionate about Sahir Ludhianvi. Now we often tune Sahir’s songs on Caravan, whenever we are free and relaxed. I can go on adoring and adding superlatives in my description of the whole program so beautifully curated by you, but let me stop here not be. Let this narratives lose the punch. It was an excellent show with great content and presentation which touched the soul and personality of the lyricist. By covering his childhood, upbringing and his journey in life, the program successfully presented before the audience the true Sahir, which not only helped the audience in understanding his psyche but also to establish, in one way or the other, connect with his thoughts and reactions to a given situation. We thoroughly enjoyed the show with our friends Mr Vijay Chadha and Ms.Taru Chadha, though our other friends were not so lucky to have an entry on the very day. In life however great a person may be, not more than hour is spent on discussing the departed soul, whereas Ibaadat did it for two hours and a half by exhibiting to audience by reliving his glorious era. In fact, quite few were not even born but only heard of this legend. He with his broken home background stuffed in him all his gloom, but enthralled every music and art lover. His lyrics were sung and suited for different occasions, sad or happy moment of life. A man full of romance and emotions lived alone without a life partner. All the participants performed well with full gusto, be it a conversation or a song, both solo and duet were very real, sweet as that of original play back. I must say a real befitting tribute by Ibaadat Foundation, with no idle moment of inertia and glued to seat waited curiously for the next moment. Glad I attended this for the first time, wish I had attended your earlier shows on other film world stalwarts. I had seen you as man of few words, and as my boss, in those days when you were the Chief Executive of Constellate Consultants, seeing you on stage and addressing us audience was indeed a revelation of your hidden treasure and talent. I must be amongst the select few who saw the event on both days - well, such is my passion for stalwarts like Sahir. The event was brilliantly compared and showcased by you and Sangeeta - my personal compliments to you both and to the entire team! Given that Kamani was fully packed on both days with people even standing at the back, shows that Ibaadat would do great service to consider hosting the event more frequently in Delhi - my suggestion would be at least 2 times per year for 2 days in a row as done this time. In fact, Dec 2019 or Jan 2020 would be great times to host another event in Delhi.  I spoke to dozens of people on both days and they were spell bound by the quality of all what they saw.
